  • Paper plates
  • Glue
  • Paint brush
  • White card stock

Craft instructions:

Help the children pour brown paint onto a paper plate.

Next, have the children dip their hand in the paint and press their hand down on white card stock.

Using a paint brush, have the children paint a tree trunk on the white card stock.

Then, in a Ziploc bag, have the children add in a bit of paint and a handful of popcorn.

Once done, have the children close the Ziploc bag and shake the bag.  Have the children try and get as much paint on the popcorn as possible.

Let dry.

While the first batch of popcorn is drying, have the children repeat the process with another paint color.

When ready, have the children glue the popcorn to the tree trunk and the ground.

And, voila, the children have now made an Popcorn Tree fall craft!  What a fun craft activity for a Fall or Autumn-theme school unit!
