Easy Snowman Craft For Christmas!

Here’s an easy snowman craft made from paper plates!

This simple and entertaining Christmas craft activity is a ton of fun for preschool and kindergarten children to make. All you need is some paper plate, buttons or pompoms, and imagination!

And, this easy snowman craft is just perfect for a Winter or Christmas theme unit at home or in the classroom!

Frosty the Snowman (Frosty the Snowman) (Little Golden Book) written by Diane Muldrow, is an adorable book to read to children during Christmas.

While the children are making their paper plate craft, play the Frosty The Snowman song for kids in the background.

Frosty The Snowman song for kids is a nice complement to this super fun kids Christmas craft activity.

So, what are you waiting for? Let’s make an easy snowman craft with the kids!

Craft items you will need:

  • Large and small white paper plates
  • White pipe cleaners
  • Small piece of black construction paper (to make the top hat)
  • Small piece of orange construction paper (to make the nose)
  • Black or red buttons
  • Red bow
  • Googly eyes
  • Pompoms
  • Glue

Craft instructions:

From black construction paper, have the children draw and cut out a hat for their Frosty Snowman.

Next, have the children glue Frosty The Snowman’s Hat to the top of the small paper plate.

Then, have the children draw and cut out a triangle from orange construction paper.  This will be Frosty The Snowman’s nose.

Once done, have the children glue Frosty The Snowman’s eyes and nose on the small paper plate.

Using the buttons, have the children glue a smiling mouth on their Paper Plate Frosty The Snowman.

After that, have the children make a small hole at the bottom of the small paper plate and a small hole at the top of the large paper plate.

Using a white pipe cleaner, have the children attach the 2 paper plates together. Attach the red bow.

Now, we have a Snowman!

When the 2 paper plates are attached, have the children glue a red bow and pompoms on Frosty The Snowman’s body.


And, voila! The children have now made an easy snowman craft!
