So, what are you waiting for? Let’s craft an Igloo with the kids!

Craft items you will need

  • White paper
  • Construction paper
  • Black marker
  • Glue

Craft instructions:

Using a black marker, have the children draw an Igloo on a sheet of construction paper.

Next, have the children cut a white sheet of paper into little squares. This will be the snow.

After that, have the children glue the little white squares all over their Igloo.

And, voila, the children have now made an Alphabet Letter I is for Igloo craft!   What a simple and fun Letter Of The Week craft activity for preschool and kindergarten children.  Just perfect for a Winter-theme unit!

[...] Of course you could use paper for this, but to mix it up I cut out some square foam pieces for the boys, and they had fun gluing them to the igloo frame that I drew on their papers.  To make it more challenging, older kids could draw the frame and cut out the squares.  This would be a nice beginning craft for your toddler if you were right there to put down the glue.  You can find the original idea over at Kiboomu Kids Crafts.
